Hi there! It's Karen Williams from the Corder and Karen Morning Show. I love Cookie Exchanges. My boys do too! After my annual Friday night neighborhood exchange, I walk in the door to a chorus of "Where are the Cookies?". I love this recipe because the cookies look fancy but are easy and delicious. These are HAZELNUT ORANGE FINGERS WITH CHOCOLATE. It is from last years annual Tribune cookie contest. Click here for the recipe.

Here is the batch I made for this years cookie exchange.

I take a couple of shortcuts that don't sacrifice looks or taste. Rather than toast and grind hazelnuts, I use Hazelnut Flour/Meal. Also, I skip the paraffin. It really doesn't affect the texture. And I only use one type of chocolate. You can get all the ingredients for your holiday cookies and meals at Meijer. Jeff Corder and I will be at the Meijer at 2253 Richmond in McHenry Saturday from 11am to 1pm. Maribel Alchin, Meijer's Healthy Living Advisor, will be there with cooking demonstrations. Edison will be there and we'll have lots of games and prizes. Hope to see you there. Karen Williams
