I'm on-air overnights on WLIT. I've been broadcasting in Chicagoland for over 25 years... wow that's a long time. In addition to my on-air shift, I am also the Production Director, and do afternoon traffic reports. I have two sons, the oldest is a music education major at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington(he plays sax and violin.) And the youngest is a sophmore in high school and plays sax and guitar.
I'm not a huge baseball fan (unless I can get good seats at the old ballpark) but I never miss watching a Bears game. If I'm going to be away, I'll record it and watch it later that day or night!
I feel priveliged to be one of two male DJs on the air staff and am happy to provide some testosterone to the Lite.
The Imagine Peace Tower is a tower of light conceived by Yoko Ono in memory of John symbolizing Lennon’s and Ono’s continuing campaign for world peace. The Imagine Peace Tower is composed of a tall shimmering tower of light that appears every year and is visible from October 9th (John’s birthday) until December 8th (this year, the 30th anniversary of his death) and several other occasions during the calendar year. The tower will be dark starting December 8th but will light again on Christmas.
To deliver this unique work of lighting art to the world, EarthCam utilized its 12 MegapixelCam Advanced High Definition Camera System with a heavy-duty enclosure including a heater and wiper to endure Icelandic winters of ice, high winds and blizzards keeping the camera functioning as needed. The camera offers a live view of the light as it continually changes with the weather unique to Iceland, creating a clear pillar of light. Check it out at: www.EarthCam.com/imaginepeacetower
