Jeff Corder or "Quarter" (nicknamed because of his sound-alike last name) is a Chicagoland food, improv, and live music fan who's always out wherever there's great pizza, plenty of laughs, and a good (or bad) band playing. Corder "grew-up" (…questionable) 28 Metra stops from Michigan & Randolph in the Southside paradise known as Blue Island. He graduated Dwight D. Eisenhower HS as "Most Likely To Be Unlikely" and attended Illinois State University…before they asked him to "please leave." When not on the air, Jeff can be found volunteering for local charities, playing with his Mom's parrots, or learning the art of power-napping.
When I was a little girl in Little Rock, Arkansas I used to stay up late with my favorite Christmas present - a transistor radio. I would tune in WLS AM, broadcasting from the exciting big city of Chicago, and when I heard Yvonne Daniels on the air I thought “YES! THAT’S what I want to do”. Dreams do come true because years later I ended up hosting the same show on WNUA that Yvonne Daniels hosted at one time. After college and some time touring with a band, playing keyboards and singing, I landed my first radio job in Little Rock. I then moved on to stations in Detroit and Chicago before doing mornings on WNUA. First solo then partnering with Jazz Great Ramsey Lewis. I joined Lite FM three years ago.
I live in the Northwest Suburbs with my hubby (the most patient man in the world) and my two sons. They’re used to Mom’s early morning hours and indulge my cooking obsession. They’ll try anything…once! Partially by necessity, I love to run. I’m not too speedy but better at endurance. This year will be my third Chicago Marathon. I do yoga to de-stress and tennis just to make my friends feel good about winning. I live for Family, Friends, Food and Music (maybe in that order). I love live music especially outside in the summer - From the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra to Ravinia to catching my friends’ bands playing in the local clubs. Looking at my Facebook page it seems like all I do is post about live shows and restaurants!
I really do feel like I am the luckiest person in the world to be able to do what I love – helping people wake up and get going in the best city in the world. Yes Karen… Life is Good!

FORMER IDOLS MAY JUDGE IDOL
Sounds like the folks at American Idol are getting desperate to come up with a way to freshen up the show. With rumors that this season’s entire judging panel will get the axe, Vulture claims producers are looking to the show’s past to save its future. According to sources, producers are considering filling one, or possibly all, of the vacated judges’ spots with former American Idol contestants. Word is, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson have already been approached about the idea, and Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken are also being considered.
KARDASHIAN’S OVER-THE-TOP SHOWER INVITE
Kim Kardashian is having a baby shower, and if the invitation is any indication, the party is bound to be extravagant. Invites to the June 2nd event, thrown by Kris Jenner, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, and Shelli Azoff (manager Irving Azoff’s wife), came in a fully functioning music box, with a spinning ballerina that looks a little like Kim. In addition, the box plays a lullaby version of baby daddy Kanye West’s tune “Hey Mama.” Us Weekly reports Beyoncé and Fergie are both invited to the shower, which is being described as a “ladies brunch.”
BIEBER FORCES GUESTS TO SIGN WAIVER
Justin Bieber is sick and tired of the bad press he’s getting, and he’s apparently figured out a way to end at least a few of the stories. According to TMZ, Justin is now making anyone who wants to party with him at his Calabasas, CA, home sign a waiver, which bans them from posting details, photos or recordings made inside the house on any type of social media. The guests will also be forbidden from talking about the Biebs and his guests. Should anyone break the contract, they will face a lawsuit seeking $5 million in damages. The document also warns guests they could be subject to activities deemed “potentially hazardous,” adding they “should not participate unless you are medically able and properly trained,” with risks including “minor injuries to catastrophic injuries including death.”

ROCKER RIPS BIEBER
Veteran rocker Jon Bon Jovi had some choice (read not-so nice) words for 19-year old pop star Justin Bieber, berating the young superstar for his infamous tardiness at a show in London earlier this year. The Bon Jovi frontman – year-in, year-out one of the top-selling live acts in the world – told the London Evening Standard, “Every generation has guys that do that, none of that is new. They run the risk of disrespecting their audience members who have worked hard to pay for their ticket, to give you the permission to take two or three hours of their lives – or in that kid’s case, 80 minutes of their lives.” Bon Jovi went on to say, “Do it once, you can be forgiven. Do it enough times and shame on you. They won’t have you back. Then it just becomes a cliché. It’s really not cool – you’re an a**hole. Go to f***in’ work!”
PITT COULDN’T BE HAPPIER
Brad Pitt has a loving fiancée, and a house full of kids, but apparently he doesn’t have very many buddies. “I have very few friends,” he tells Esquire magazine, although he doesn’t seem too upset about it. “I have a handful of close friends and I have my family and I haven’t known life to be any happier.” Of course, with six kids and Angelina Jolie, Pitt is definitely not lonely. “I always thought that if I wanted to do a family, I wanted to do it big," he says. "There's constant chatter in our house, whether it's giggling or screaming or crying or banging. I love it." He adds, "I hate it when they're gone. I hate it. Maybe it's nice to be in a hotel room for a day – 'Oh, nice, I can finally read a paper.' But then, by the next day, I miss that cacophony, all that life." Brad also discusses his decision to stop smoking pot. “For a long time I thought I did too much damage – drug damage. But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity,” he said. “It was a conscious change. This was about a decade ago. It was an epiphany – a decision not to squander my opportunities. It was a feeling of get up. Because otherwise, what’s the point?"
PATTINSON MOVES OUT OF STEWART’S HOME
It sure looks like rumors of a Robert Pattinson/ Kristen Stewart split are true. The Twilight star was spotted Sunday leaving Kristen’s Los Feliz, CA, home with a truckload of his belongings, as well as his dogs. According to Us Weekly, in the end, Pattinson just couldn’t get past Kristen’s infidelity. “All this stuff came up. A lot of issues came up,” said a source. “(They argued) about the cheating, about how selfish she always is, about how moody she always is.”
