Thurs, Feb 14, 9A-6P, Big Smile Dental  2833 North Milwaukee Avenue, (Logan Square/Avondale) Chicago

Every Valentine’s Day, Dr. Theodore Siegel of Big Smile Dental opens his doors to the less fortunate people in our neighborhood. They have been able to treat more than 2,000 people and provide over 1.25 MILLION dollars in free dentistry. This Valentine’s Day, Big Smile Dental is giving away Free Dentistry again.  Big Smile Dental will be open on Valentine’s Day from 9A-6P Patients must be at least 12 years of age to be seen, and accompanied by a parent or guardian if under the age of 18.  No appointments will be made, patients will be given a time for their treatment on a first come, first served basis on valentines morning and as much treatment will be accomplished as time allows. FREE treatment will include cleanings, x-rays, fillings, extractions, diagnostics, and pain control.  “I started this charity to help change the lives of those people that didn’t have enough money to take care of the things that you and I take for granted. But a funny thing happened along the way. It was my life that changed the most. And I feel truly blessed to be able to help others in need. I want to say thank you to the people that have supported me by giving a token of my sincere appreciation back to my community.” “No one will be refused FREE treatment in my office on Valentine’s Day,” states Dr. Siegel, “but it is my hope that the truly needy in the community who fear dental bills more than they fear dental treatment, will be first in line to take advantage of this opportunity.”    So, mark the day on your calendar and be sure to tell your friends and family members who might benefit from this event!

Friday, February 8th  7p-11pm McCormick Place

Excitement is high for the 2013 edition of First Look for Charity, when it moves to Friday. Celebrate longer into the evening, too, on a show floor the will stay open till 11 p.m. With the workweek over, Friday Night, Green Light!

Stroll the show floor amid opulence, with first-rate hors d'oeuvres and beverages, and tap your toes to entertainment by Million Dollar Quartet and American English. Not enough? Two attendees will win the event's grand prizes: a 2013 Buick Encore and a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe.

And enjoy entertainment by American English and "Million Dollar Quartet." The latter is the smash-hit musical inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. American English, widely regarded as the finest Beatles tribute band, performs songs from the entire career of the Beatles with precise attention to musical detail, along with costume changes, vintage instruments, and special effects.

Eighteen vital Chicago-area charities will benefit from the more than $2 million expected to be raised by First Look for Charity. You can direct the proceeds from your ticket purchase to benefit any or all of them.

Tickets are $250 each, of which $207 is tax-deductible as a charitable donation. And discounted tuxedo rentals are available at Men's Wearhouse and MW Tux locations. For every tux rented for the event, Men's Wearhouse will donate $5 to the charities! If you'd like to find our more about tuxedo rental discounts or find a Men's Wearhouse location, click here.
