Come out for a FREE Chicago movie screening) on January 18 of Devil in a Bue Dress, starring Denzel Washington and based on the book by Walter Mosely. The Chicago Cultural Center is hosting a week-long tribute to Walter Mosely and this movie screening in just one of the events, and will be held in the Claudia Cassidy Theater, will be followed by a post Q&A with Mosley. Devil in a Blue Dress is a 1995 American neo-noir film directed by Carl Franklin and photographed by Tak Fujimoto. The film was based on Walter Mosley’s novel of the same name, was executive produced by Jonathan Demme, and starred Denzel Washington, Tom Sizemore, Jennifer Beals, and Don Cheadle.
Walter Mosley is one of the most versatile and admired writers in America today. He is the author of more than thirty seven critically-acclaimed books including the major bestselling mystery series featuring Easy Rawlins. AND on Saturday from 5P-8P there will be a staged reading with Walter Mosley, featuring a selection from one of Mosley's newest works.
