The 70th annual Golden Globe Awards were handed out last night and the evening’s big winner was Les Misérables, which took home three awards, Best Musical/Comedy, Best Actor, Hugh Jackman and Best Supporting Actress, Anne Hathaway. On the serious side,Argo took home Best Drama, with Jessica Chastain nabbing Best Actress for Zero Dark Thirty and Daniel Day-Lewis winning Best Actor for Lincoln. Other movie winners included: Jennifer Lawrence, Best Actress Musical/Comedy, Silver Linings Playbook; Christoph Waltz, Best Supporting Actor, Django Unchained; Ben Affleck, Best Director, Argo; Brave, Best Animated Feature; Amour, Best Foreign Film and “Skyfall,” Best Song, which was written by Adele.
The Golden Globes also honor TV and Homeland was the big winner, taking home three trophies including Best Drama, Best Actress, Claire Danes and Best Actor, Damien Lewis.Girls took home the top honor of Best Comedy, while its star Lena Dunham won Best Comedy Actress and Don Cheadle won Best Comedy Actor for House of Lies. Another big winner of the evening was the HBO movie Game Change, which took home three trophies - Best Mini-Series or Movie; Best Actress, Julianne Moore and Best Supporting Actor, Ed Harris. Other TV winners included Kevin Costner, Best Actor in a Mini-Series or Movie,Hatfields & McCoys and Maggie Smith, Best Supporting Actress, Downton Abbey.

Britney Spears is back on the market. The popstar announced Friday that she and fiancé Jason Trawick have ended their engagement. "Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement," Spears said in the statement. "I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends." According to TMZ, Jason has already been removed as Britney’s co-conservator, and Brit has already returned the $90,000 ring Jason gave her. The site claims kids were a major issue between the couple. Britney really wanted to add to her family, but while Jason loved Brit’s two sons, he did not want any more. Britney also confirmed on Friday what everyone already knew - she won’t be back for season another of The X Factor. "I had an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens but it's time for me to get back in the studio," Spears said. "Watching them all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much! I can't wait to get back out there and do what I love most." Finally, TMZ reports that Britney is close to signing on to for a residency at a Las Vegas hotel.
The six-year wait for new Justin Timberlake music came to an end Sunday when the singer released the funky and yes, sexy, “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z. In addition, in an open letter to his fans (read the full text here), JT announced his long-awaited new album will be calledThe 20/20 Experience, due at an as-yet unannounced date later this year.
