Britney Spears is reportedly leaving Fox’s X Factor. According to TMZ, Britney told producers she loves the show but she wants to leave and focus on her music career. She is said to be in the studio recording her eighth album, and plans to go out on tour once it is completed. Of course, Brit’s quitting just made it easier for execs, who had already decided she wasn’t coming back for season two. “The producers hadn’t planned for Britney to return this year,” a source told EW.com. “She did her best and they had fun last year, but it’s no surprise to anyone that they were all going to be parting company. It wasn’t even really a conversation.”
