Burke-Charvet Recovering From Thyroid Cancer Surgery
Brooke Burke-Charvet said via Twitter she underwent a successful thyroidectomy yesterday. Burke-Charvet, 41, is the mother of four children and co-host of “Dancing with the Stars.” She recently announced she had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. “Feels like I got hit by a car. ... Thank God it’s over. I’m clean, surgery went well and I can talk. Losing my voice was my biggest fear,” Burke-Charvet tweeted after the procedure.

Roger Ebert Hospitalized
Movie critic Roger Ebert has been hospitalized after fracturing his hip. The writer’s wife Chaz tweeted the news, joking her husband’s “tricky disco dance moves” are to blame for his latest hospital trip. She adds, “He is doing well, asking for computer, will probably tweet.” Chaz Ebert said that “doctors are making assessments” about when her husband can leave the hospital. The movie critic took to his own Twitter page later in the day to assure fans he would not need an operation. The 70 year old has previously battled cancer of the thyroid and the salivary gland, which left him unable to speak. He has had a full-time, live-in nurse since 2010.

Moore Parties In Miami
Demi Moore seems to be in a good mood. Ashton Kutcher’s ex was spotted partying in Miami Wednesday as part of Florida’s annual Art Basel fest. Photographers caught the 50-year-old at the Chanel Beachside Barbeque, where she danced alongside a seated Lenny Kravitz and George Clooney’s girlfriend Stacy Keibler. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old who has been romantically linked to Demi is denying they are dating. When art dealer Vito Schnabel was asked if there was any truth to the rumors he replied, “No. Nope.” But just hours later, according to TMZ, the rumored couple was spotted making out at the very same Chanel party where Demi was seen dancing.
See ‘12-12-12’ Benefit Concert In Theaters
In an effort to share the “12-12-12” benefit concert for Hurricane Sandy Relief with many people impacted by the storm, the event will be simulcast live in select movie theaters in hurricane-affected areas. The show will be free to all attendees and complimentary refreshments will be provided. Free tickets are available now at participating theater box offices and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. The concert, held at Madison Square Garden to benefit the Robin Hood Relief Fund, will feature Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, Kanye West, The Who and Paul McCartney, with other artists to be announced soon.
