While doing my spring/summer cleaning, I cannot believe the huge number of CD's I've collected over the years. (We're talking THOUSANDS ugh.) If you're trying to get all of yours backed up onto your computer and then cull the herd, here's a planet friendly solution to all that plastic...
CD's & the plastic cases they come in, don't decompose ever : ( The good news is the CD Recycling Center will take your old CD's, DVD's and all the packaging they come in.
You pay for shipping, but if you don't have a local thrift store or some other place to take them, it's a good solution - You can write it off on your taxes, and if you pay to have your garbage picked-up, you're paying for it anyway...so it's a nice way to make sure your old music & movies won't end up in a landfill : )
